Boys & Girls Clubs Area Council Leadership Conference
The Missouri Area Council of Boys & Girls Clubs of America presented Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County (BGCSTC) Board Secretary, Kim Hannegan, with the Outstanding Board Volunteer award to recognize her dedication to doing Whatever it Takes to Build Great Futures.
Kim can be described as "dependable, generous, kind, and committed to the mission." In her 8 years on the board of directors for BGCSTC, Kim has actively served on multiple committees including the Executive, Resource Development, and Gala Planning. Kim and her husband Mike chaired the gala for two years and successfully rallied a community of supporters to raise over $200,000 for St. Charles County youth. She provides snacks, program supplies, school supplies, Halloween costumes and candy, and so much more to offset Club expenditures. Kim has also led efforts around the end of year appeal campaign and supported the Club's 2014 capital campaign to build the new St. Charles Unit.
Kim has a huge heart for our Clubs and our kids and BGCSTC is thankful for her dedicated service over the years. Club CEO, Karen Englert says, "Kim is the type of board member every CEO wants, and she is so deserving of this award". Congratulations Kim Hannegan on this statewide honor!
Fifteen Missouri Area Boys & Girls Clubs submitted nominations for the awards presented at the Missouri Area Council Leadership Conference Hall of Fame Awards Dinner. Other awards presented that night included Outstanding Program won by Boys & Girls Clubs of the Heartland, Outstanding Marketing & Communications won by Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City, and four Hall of Fame Honorees; Stoney Hays of Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks, Rhonda Gorham of Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Missouri, Leon Combs of Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks, and Don Wagner of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City.
We are thankful for our annual partners and community supporters!
