Speaking with Club members about your career, schooling, or community engagement.

GROUPS

Corporate “Days of Service” based on your organization’s goals.

Club beautification efforts such as tree trimming, garden upkeep, cleaning, and painting.

Event preparations such as assembling backpacks with school supplies.

Supporting themed summer camp weeks with your organization’s expertise.

EVENTS

Community events such as Back to School Bash and Trunk or Treat.

Club events such as the Blue BBQ, holiday celebrations, and movie nights.

Advocacy events such as Breakfast with a Purpose and the Great Futures Lunch.

How it works

Volunteer Requirements

At Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County we are proud of our excellent reputation as a safe haven for youth. Because the safety of our Club members is the highest priority, all eligible Volunteers who interact with Club youth must agree to a background check. Our Community Impact & Volunteer Coordinator will check your status on the following:

  • Driving Record
  • National Sex Offender Registry
  • Local, State, and Federal Criminal Records

If you are seeking Group and Event volunteer opportunities, a background check may not be required.

Please note: Ongoing volunteer opportunities may be denied as a result of these checks. We do not accept volunteers referred through the court system. Some online training is required.

We require that all potential volunteers read the volunteer handbook. This document will give you an overall understanding of the Clubs’ opportunities, as well as a rundown of rules that must be followed in the best interest of you, BGCSTC, and most importantly, the kids we are helping.

All volunteers must sign and return the last page of the volunteer handbook, the acknowledgement, prior to volunteering at the Club.

All individual Volunteers must complete a series of 3 training modules provided by Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
